My name is James Bartelt.  I am in my fourth year of college and am attending Marian University.  I have been studying to become a teacher.  My major is currently Social Studies Broad Field as well as Secondary Education.  I am also strongly considering changing my major to Elementary Education with my minor being Social Studies Broad Field.  I also have a minor in Athletic Coaching.

Throughout this EDU 200 course, I have learned about many different types technology that I will be able to use in the classroom.  The ones that seem to be my favorite, that I could see myself using in the future are Facebook, Edmodo, and SMART Board.  I feel like these would be the most user friendly for someone like myself.  I feel like Facebook and Edmodo are very similar.  I feel like with these two networking sites I would be able to post homework and have students post any questions they may have.  I feel like SMART Board lessons are a good way of students getting up and moving around instead of staring at a teacher doing a PowerPoint the whole class.  SMART Board is a good way of making a class more interactive.
